Annika Bäckström is an award winning art director, designer, illustrator and generative AI-enthusiast. She has been working with digital design for over 10 years. Since july 2022 she has been exploring the world of generative art.

A freelance AI-artist and graphic designer, based in Stockholm, Sweden, celebrated for her wide-ranging work in magazines, book covers, and collaborations with bands and brands. She is specialized in generative AI for image creation and has been lecturing and sharing insights about generative AI and creativity since 2022.
Annika is originally from Burträsk in Västerbotten. She studied advertising in Gothenburg (YRGO) and art & innovation at Karlstad University. Since 2011 she has worked at different creative agencies in Stockholm since 2011 such as Great Works, Creuna, Oh My and Knowit before starting her freelance career.
Annika is also an avid DIY enthusiast and DJ, embracing creativity in various forms may it be pottery, jewellry making or building cardboard houses for cats.
